Outstanding Achievement for Rodger Pannone at legal awards

RODGER Pannone won the Outstanding Achievement award at the inaugural Manchester Legal Awards last night.

The awards, organised by the Manchester Law Society, were attended by around 500 people at the city’s Midland Hotel.

Mr Pannone dedicated his award to friend Sir Michael Sachs, the first English solicitor to be appointed as a High Court judge.

He said: “Manchester is the greatest city in the world and its lawyers a match for anyone in the world, including London. Our unit cost of production is much lowerRodger Pannone and we are so much better. I’m immensely proud of what Manchester has achieved in law over the years.

He added: “The only problem I have is that successive governments have denied access to justice.”

Eversheds picked up four awards – best large law firm, best litigation team, the community award for pro-bono work and best employment team – while Addleshaw Goddard won two awards for its private client and corporate teams. Grahame Codd of Irwin Mitchell won partner of the year.
