Chess signs software deal with ItsGenie

IT company ItsGenie has signed a contract to provide telecommunications firm Chess with its online people-management software.

Manchester-based ItsGenie specialises in online programmes which align employees’ personal goals with that organisation’s objectives.

Alderley Edge-based Chess Telecom chose ItsGenie for its ability to flag up learning needs and talent management requirements.

The value of the contract has not been released.

Andy Green, head of people performance at Chess said: “The breadth of the itsGenie offering combined with its flexibility and ease of use, convinced me that it would be an integral part of continuing to improve performance.

“By directly linking our goals to how we develop and engage our employees, the ItsGenie technology platform will play a pivotal part in bringing all of this together and underpin Chess’ future successes.”

ItsGenie’s head of business development, Andy Taylor, said: “We are delighted to have such an established and forward thinking organisation as Chess Telecom making the decision to purchase ItsGenie People Performance.

“It is a sure sign that the software is now being embraced by the UK business community and a reflection of the time and effort spent by the Company to develop a solution that takes people performance management to new heights.”

Privately-owned Chess was recently named in the Sunday Times as one of the UK’s” Top 100 Best Small Companies to work for in 2010.
