Santander boss to speak at Liverpool Chamber dinner

SANTANDER’S head of retail distribution is set to speak at Liverpool Chamber of Commerce’s annual dinner in December.

Charlotte Hogg, the bank’s recently appointed head of Retail Distribution and Intermediaries, has responsibilities for all retail areas across Santander UK including branch distribution, bancassurance, mortgages, telephone distribution, e-commerce, agencies and intermediaries.

She is also a non executive director at BBC Worldwide, member of the Finance Committee at Oxford University Press, governor of Nottingham Trent University and chairman of First Story.

She was previously managing director, UK and Ireland at Experian and has a strong strategic financial services background and experience from her time at Morgan Stanley, Goldfish and the Bank of England.

Jack Stopforth, chief executive of Liverpool Chamber, said: “The Chamber has always attracted the UK’s top business speakers and we are particularly delighted to welcome Charlotte this year. With banking and business finance still very much in the news, we are looking forward to her insight from the point of view of one of the UK’s leading high street banks.”

Guest of honour is retiring British Chambers of Commerce director general David Frost.

The Dinner takes place at Liverpool Cathedral on December 1.
