Kids Allowed to open fifth nursery, creating 50 jobs

CHILDCARE chain Kids Allowed is to open a new centre in Stockport, creating 50 jobs.

The centre, on Buxton Road, Davenport will be on the former site of the Acton Court Hotel just a mile south of Stockport town centre.

Expected to be complete by the end of 2012, it will have 190 places for children; including 156 nursery places and 34 places for morning and after school clubs.

The purpose built centre will have age specific rooms with access to their own garden, lots of natural light, a multi sensory room, one way porthole windows so parents can see their children settling in without disturbing them and biometric fingerprint technology meaning that only colleagues and parents can enter the nursery. The centre will also have a roof top garden.

The Stockport centre will also offer the parent concierge service available at other Kids Allowed centres. The service looks after the common day-to-day household chores such as dry cleaning, ironing and post collection.

Jennie Johnson, founder of Kids Allowed, said: “Our centres have a comprehensive range of services to match the real needs and expectations of family life. We are delighted to be bringing another Kids Allowed to Stockport and we are confident it will be just as popular as our other centres.”

Kids Allowed has four other centres across Greater Manchester.
