Cooke leaves Hill Dickinson for new venture

LAW firm Hill Dickinson has announced the departure of corporate partner Darryl Cooke from its Manchester office.

The firm said in a statement that Mr Cooke had decided to leave the firm to pursue a “lifelong ambition”.

Peter Jackson, Hill Dickinson’s managing partner, said: ‘We understand that Darryl has certain ambitions yet to be fulfilled and which cannot be achieved at Hill Dickinson.  We are confident that we can continue to build our corporate presence following Darryl’s departure. We wish Darryl every success in his new venture.”

Mr Cooke, who joined the firm from DLA Piper in 2007, is particularly noted for his private equity expertise. He recently advised management on the acquisition of Crown Paints from Dutch group Akzo Nobel.
