Intellinet sold to payroll giant Ceridian
A LANCASHIRE software firm has been bought by global HR and payroll services provider Ceridian for an undisclosed sum.

A LANCASHIRE software firm has been bought by global HR and payroll services provider Ceridian for an undisclosed sum.

Appley Bridge-based Intellinet’s existing client base spans a wide range of sectors and includes the like of Matalan, Halfords and Republic. It has a tunover of around £2m.

Ceridian, which has worked in partnership with the firm since 2003, has bought the firm to provide additional services to its own customer base.

Intellinet’s managing director, Alan Christopherson, will continue to work with Ceridian UK’s management team following the acquisition.

He said: “The deal will bring an expanded solution and enhanced opportunities for Intellinet’s customers, whilst continuing to provide excellent customer service. 

“We have had a long relationship with Ceridian, delivering effective workforce management systems and processes to many well known businesses. Now, as part of Ceridian UK, we will be able to develop our proposition still further adding value to our customers across the UK and Europe.”

Doug Sawers, Ceridian UK’s managing director, added: “This acquisition will greatly benefit Ceridian’s growing customer base, with an expanded solution that gives even greater added value. We have worked well with Intellinet’s excellent team for a number of years and we are proud to have them join our business”.

Gary Houghton and James Wild at the Manchester office of Baker Tilly Corporate Finance led the deal. Simon Wallwork at Manchester law firm Pannone provided legal advice for the shareholders at Intellinet.
