Quaytickets sets sail for £500,000 profits

TICKET agency Quaytickets has seen its profits triple over the past year to £100,000 through organic growth and innovation.
The agency – which ploughs all its income back into The Lowry Arts Centre – now believes that it is on target to achieve profits of £500,000 within three years.
Quaytickets attributes its success to its online booking service which allows customers to choose their own seating arrangements.
It now represents 70 venues across the North West – including Manchester’s Royal Exchange Theatre – and over the past month has also signed deals to sell tickets for Bolton Octagon and Manchester’s Contact Theatre.
Keith Kelly, head of ticketing services and development said: “We currently have 400 events on sale across 70 venues nationally.
“Recently we have picked up some significant new accounts such as allocations for Manchester Camerata and exclusive phone sales for Zippos Circus.
“We believe that we are on target to more than triple our turnover over the next three years to achieve £500,000.”
Last year, Quaytickets ran the ticketing services for the Manchester International Festival 2009, BBC Proms in the Park Salford, and Manchester City Council’s Events Unit – including the popular ice rink in the city’s Spinningfields development.
