Speedy seals £20m contract

SPEEDY Hire has won a five-year £20m contract with construction services group Connaught.

Under the terms of the strategic supply arrangement Newton-le-Willows-based Speedy will be Connaught’s exclusive provider of tools and equipment hire across the UK and operate a single dedicated hire desk and acquire.

In addition, under an outsourcing arrangement, Speedy will buy a range of equipment currently operated by Connaught in-house to a maximum value of £1m.

Connaught is a specialist operating in the social housing, environmental, public sector and compliance markets. The agreement will run until 2015 and is estimated to be worth more than f £20m over the term.

The agreement builds on a contractual relationship set up two years ago since when Speedy has become a key strategic partner to Connaught.
