Appointments: KPMG promotes six & more

KPMG has promoted six members of staff in its North West offices, comprising two new partners and four new directors.

Sandra Cox and Simon Shaw have been promoted to partners in the firm’s tax and pensions department.

Alex Hartley, Lindsey Bayley  and Louise Thompson have all been promoted to directors in the Manchester office, while Barbara Bell is based in Liverpool.

Alex Hartley works within KPMG’s Northern corporate finance team, Lindsey Bayley is a member of the corporate tax team, Barbara Bell established the firm’s national environmental tax team in 2008 and Louise Thompson works in the forensic team and specialises in leading fraud investigations.

Jonathan Hurst, North West senior partner at KPMG, said the promotions reflect the individuals’ hard work and contribution to the success of the firm’s operation in the region.

MANCHESTER-based Positive Cashflow Finance has boosted its sales team with four appointments.
 
The new hires at the invoice financing specialist are: Andrew Buckle, who has joined from ClearDebt Group as a business development manager; Sam Forshaw and Nick Chapman who have been appointed as business development executives. Tom Cook, who joined Positive in 2009, has also been promoted to executive in the business development team.
 
Phil Chesham, sales and marketing director at Positive, said: “It is really exciting to be developing such an enthusiastic and high quality team at Positive, and to have the opportunity to inject new blood into the industry.”

MERSEYSIDE-based recruitment specialist Scantec Personnel has appointed a number of new staff and promoted existing personnel as it grows it engineering and administration divisions.
 
In the engineering division, Steve Cheyne has been promoted to team manager of the contract team. . He is supported by Emma Hignett, the team’s new account manager.
 
Ryan Mullen has joined as divisional manager in the permanent engineering team, while Simon Wells, Dionne Burns and Shaun Robinson have been appointed as account managers.
 
Further role changes and appointments include Jeni Howard’s move from administration manager to business improvement manager, and
