Deals Round Up: Pannone acts on MBO; Ireland and Halliwells lead PLUS listing & more

MANCHESTER law firm Pannone advised on a management buyout of a £8m turnover Herefordshire waste management firm Haigh Group.

The Pannone team was led by corporate solicitor Mark Winthorpe with support from banking and finance senior associate Caroline Dawson Gerrard.

MANCHESTER stockbroker WH Ireland and law firm Halliwells have advised specialist recruitment firm  Climate Human Capital on its admission to the PLUS market.

Acting as corporate adviser, WH Ireland’s team was made up of  Manchester head of corporate finance Dan Bate and corporate finance director, Katy Mitchell.

Halliwells’ corporate team comprised partner Nigel Brown and solicitor Richard Almond.

Mazars (Richard Metcalfe and Alex Baskeyfield) acted as reporting accountants and Irwin Mitchell (Paul Johnson) acted as lawyers to the placing.

London-based CHC raised over £750,000, before expenses, by way of a private placing. It has  market value of around £1.5m.

LAW firm Pinsent Masons advised FTSE 100 engineering and project management company Amec om its £61.2m acquisition of Entec Holdings, a Newcastle-based environmental and engineering consultancy.

Helen Ridge, corporate partner at Pinsent Masons in Manchester led the advisory team which also included senior associate, Gary MacDonald and solicitor Amie Norris.

Ruth Ambrose, head of corporate legal Services at Amec commented, “The Pinsent Masons team has delivered a seamless service giving practical commercial advice to enable us to close the deal in a very short timescale.”

HAMMONDS corporate partner Steven Glover provided legal advice to the board of investment management firm Rensburg Sheppards on its £412m recommended offer by major shareholder Investec.

Rensburg Sheppards was founded as Rensburg and Co in Liverpool in 1873. It still has a thriving office in the city and a smaller base in Manchester.
