Appointments: DTZ, Electricity NW; Easi-Drive, Smoking Gun

DTZ has appointed Andrew Kenyon to its Manchester-based residential team as a senior surveyor.

Kenyon joins the firm from Reginald Cook & Co, where he worked throughout the North West dealing with residential and commercial valuation.

His new role at DTZ will involve a range of residential work, ranging from residential investment, land agency, consultancy and viability appraisals for national housebuilders, along with residential portfolio valuations for lenders.

STEVE Johnson, chief executive of Electricity North West, has been appointed chairman of the Energy Networks Association (ENA), the industry body for UK companies that carry electricity and gas to homes and businesses.

As chair of the ENA he will play a key role in representing the energy networks industry with ministers, politicians and regulators.

Johnson said: “Energy consumption is predicted to increase dramatically over the coming decades, placing huge demands on the UK network which delivers electricity and gas to homes and businesses.

ACCIDENT management company Easi-Drive has appointed two new business development managers.

Martin Farthing and Amanda Whenman have joined the company as will be responsible for growth in the Yorkshire/North East and London/M25 regions respectively.

Their responsibilities will include building and maintaining close links with bodyshops and other key referral sources, general account liaison and management, and exploring new business opportunities.

Farthing, 40, from Oldham has over 15 years experience in sales and business development. He is also a former goalkeeping coach for Oldham Athletic.

Whenman, 32, is based in London and will be focusing her efforts in and around the capital city.  

Easi-Drive’s head of sales, Zac Mitcheson, said: “We are pleased to welcome Martin and Amanda to the business development team.

“I am confident that their extensive experience will make a positive contribution to the future success of the business, particularly in developing our referrer base in the Yorkshire area and in London.”

PR company Smoking Gun has today has recruited Victoria Barker as an associate director.

Victoria Barker, Smoking GunBarker will join the agency at its new base in Manchester’s Spinningfields district next month from her existing role as PR manager for Shop Direct Group.

Smoking Gun’s MD Rick Guttridge had previously worked with Barker at Manchester-based agency Brazen.

He said: “Despite the ongoing uncertainty in the wider economic market, we have thankfully continued to identify businesses looking for quality PR support and discovered a healthy pipeline of leads.”
