Antler boss leaves for Bench

THE boss of Antler, the North West luggage firm, is leaving to join Americana International as UK managing director of its Bench brand.

Kay Twine will join the Manchester company on April 10 after five years at the helm of Bury-based Antler.

Americana International chief executive, Peter McGuigan, said: “As we look to reposition the distribution of the Bench brand in the UK, we are confident that Kay has the necessary experience to fulfil this objective”.

The UK MD role is a new position and Ms Twine will be responsible for all operations including wholesale and retail sales.

Antler is in the midst of a strategic review following a stalled sales process.

The private equity-owned company is working with KPMG Corporate Finance and is hoping to have its future resolved within the next few weeks.
