TDG International Services looks to grow its Manchester division

A GLOBAL logistics firm has trebled the size of its office space in Trafford Park, in Greater Manchester, as it gears up for future expansion.

TDG International Services now employs 18 staff in Manchester offering a worldwide import and export service, moving cargo by air, sea and road.

The company – which services customers in the chemical, construction, consumer, industrial and retail sectors – previously occupied premises near Manchester Airport’s cargo centre.

TDG International Services’ Manchester office hopes to take on 3 additional staff over the summer to cope with new business demands.

Phil Ludley, General Manager TDG International Services in Manchester, said: “The move has not only provided the staff with a pleasant working environment but has also given us the room to make our expansion plans a reality. 

“We’re also pleased to have the opportunity to access significant warehouse space, because we are seeing increasingly demand from customers for this service.”

TGD International Services employs a total of 320 staff across its offices in in the UK, Ireland, Benelux, Spain and Hungary, all offering a comprehensive worldwide import and export service, moving cargo by air, sea and road. 

It is a subsidiary of TGD which had turnover of £733m in 2008 and employs 6,500 staff across 130 sites.
