Hunters targets NW for growth

HUNTERS Property Group, the Yorkshire estate agent, has appointed its first personal agent in Manchester.
Carl Crompton, a former operations director of a national telecoms and technology company, has bought the franchise for Whitefield and Prestwich.
Mr Crompton’s appointment follows the announcement last autumn that York-based Hunters was planning to launch its Hunters Personal concept in the North West.
The concept involves franchising home-based agents to sell and let properties in their own communities.
Mr Crompton will work closely with Hunters’ existing city centre offices in Deansgate in the city centre.
Kevin Hollinrake, managing director of Hunters Property Group, added: “We are confident that Hunters Personal will be very popular in Manchester.
“Personal agents like Carl look after an area surrounding their own home so they know their community intimately. As a result, they can offer a much more personal, one-to-one service.”
Mr Hollinrake said he believed there was capacity for as many as 50 Hunters Personal franchises in Manchester.
