Legal insurance business recalibrates aim

STOCKPORT-based Aim Legal Expenses Insurance Services is to split its operations into three different divisions managed by a new parent group.
The company said that it was revising its back office and sales operations to more closely mirror the sectors they are targeting.
Aim Group has been set up as a parent firm, while Aim Core Protect will continue to serve the insurance industry, Aim Legal Services will focus on the legal sector and Aim Automotice will target car dealers, repairers and fleet operations.
Led by sales manager Ian Meachin, the firm said that its new guise follows an “unwelcome” period of uncertainty after some key departures last year and a difficult economic environment.
He said: “It’s fair to say we have promised a lot in the last few years but, despite our best intentions, what we’ve delivered hasn’t set the world alight.
“All that’s about to change. Despite our relatively low profile recently we have been transacting a healthy level of business. But what our new strategy allows us to do is broaden our horizons, targeting new partners in new markets with a hugely improved range of commercial offers.
“We have set ourselves ambitious growth targets but believe they are achievable.”
