Appointments: Two new roles at Quaytickets; Johnson joins SAS Daniels; and more…

TICKET agency Quaytickets has appointed James Akers as business development manager and Amy Stonehewer as business development executive.

Mr Akers’ role will be to drive new business for the Salford-based organisation which ploughs all its profits back into the Lowry Arts Centre.

Miss Stonehewer will also be generating new business as well as representing Quaytickets at business and trade events.

Recent client and event wins secured by Quaytickets, include Lesley Garrett and Manchester Camerata, Farm Festival, Alton Towers, Queer Up North events, Sounds from the Other City and the groundbreaking Future Everything Festival.

LAW firm SAS Daniels has appointed Alistair Johnson as a partner in its Chester commercial property department.

Mr Johnson has 12 years commercial property sector experience advising companies, financial institutions and individuals on a wide range of property issues including development, investment, property finance and portfolio management.

He was formerly a partner with Hill Dickinson.

Nigel Haddon, managing partner of SAS Daniels, said: “After what has been a difficult period for the legal sector, 2010 is all about growth and to achieve this we are bringing in high quality people.

BUDGET airline easyJet has appointed Ali Gayward as its new commercial manager for the North West region.

Ms Gayward, who is originally from Hoylake, Wirral, will lead the commercial performance of easyJet’s North West bases.

She will also develop routes and scheduling as well as researching local market intelligence to optimise the network.

She previously spent 19 years at American Airlines, holding roles such as head of sales development UK and Ireland.

Mrs Gayward said: “My priority will be to build upon easyJet’s reputation as a leading low-fares airline by maintaining the success of existing routes and successfully open up new destinations to the region.”

SOLICITOR Deborah Rainford has been appointed as president of the Manchester Junior Chamber of Commerce to lead the organisation’s ambitious growth plans.

Ms Rainford, a specialist in business law at Manchester law firm Ralli, now aims to increase individual and corporate membership and raise the profile of the organisation.

She also wants to position the chamber as an essential resource for the business community in Manchester.

She said: “I want to double individual membership and rejuvenate the offering we give corporate members to attract more members from small to medium sized businesses.”
