Invoice firm credits Manchester branch for client growth

SKIPTON Business Finance (SBF) is attributing its successful expansion into the North West and EFG accreditation as reasons for its growing client base.
The independent factoring and invoice discounting provider, which is a subsidiary of Skipton Building Society, said that the first quarter of 2010 continued on from a strong 2009.
Earlier this year SBF reported an increase in both clients and profits for the year with clientele up 20% and profits up by 17%.
SBF said that the Government-backed EFG programme, which aims to help fund viable firms that are unable to meet normal lending criteria, was having a positive impact on the business.
Ray Wise, SBF’s North West director, said: “SBF had an extremely successful track record of helping local businesses raise finance in 2009 but I’m delight to say the EFG facilities we now offer together with local expansion have helped us develop new business in 2010.”
The firm recently opened offices in the Deansgate area of Manchester. It offers a range of working capital solutions for businesses with annual sales ranging from start-up to £30m.
