Bglobal signs agreement with new power provider
SMART metering firm Bglobal has signed an agreement to deliver metering services to a new electricity supplier called BES Commercial Electricity.
The Blackburn-based business will supply, install and service its latest generation of smart metres to BES business customers from next month.
Smart meters collect data to allow users to tailor consumption to the most efficient times.
The technology also means energy companies do not need to employ meter readers to visit customers.
BES has now entered the electricity market to complement its successful and established gas supply business.
It intends to provide both electricity and gas to its customers which will maximise the use of its infrastructure.
Tony Barnes, chief executive of Bglobal, said: “We are very pleased to have signed up the latest entrant into the UK electricity market and look forward to supporting BES in its expansion plans.”
Bglobal already works with energy firms Npower and British Gas.
