Millbank Edge offers ‘different’ legal service

A NEW boutique law firm has been launched in Manchester to specialise in commercial, corporate and litigation advice.

Millbank Edge was founded in January by commercial specialist Pauline Cowie, corporate finance expert Ian Roberts and experienced litigator Peter Southeran.

The firm aims to handle entrepreneurial clients as well as large national and multinational organisations.

Pauline Cowie said: “Manchester is one of the UK’s leading centres of legal and professional services.

“We believe that the model of the traditional law firm is out-moded and over-resourced.

“In the 21st century, we need dynamic,versatile lawyers who can adapt their offering and services to meet the needs of the client – and we believe that we can do that.

“In a highly competitive marketplace, you can only differentiate yourselves from the competition by actually being different. That means developing a culture – and delivering a client experience – that is dynamic and positive. That’s something we passionately believe in and the reason behind the formation of Millbank Edge.”

Each of the founding partners originally met at Beachcroft LLP’s Manchester office in 2003.

The firm is working with PR firm Bell Pottinger North, to raise its profile.
