River Island flows into Middlebrook
FASHION retailer River Island has opened a new concept store at Orbit Developments’ Middlebrook Retail and Leisure Park in Bolton.
The company has taken a 7,000 sq ft unit on a ten-year lease. The unit, which opened on Saturday, employs over 30 staff and will take on a further 20 over the busy Christmas period.
Its new design features a loft-style interior with exposed brickwork and concrete floors. Its fascia features white signage and with a contemporary white design with lights cut into the lettering.
Mark Hanna, senior retail leasing surveyor at Orbit Developments, said: “We’ve been working hard to strengthen our fashion line up and we are delighted to be welcoming a retail giant like River Island to Middlebrook.
“The retail park has seen considerable growth this year with footfall increasing by 8.3% since January. I am confident River Island’s arrival will be a significant boost for the retail park and will increase dwell times and as well as attracting new customers to the business park.”
Other enants on the 639,085 sq ft Middlebrook Retail Park include Next, Marks & Spencer, Laura Ashley, Boots and Argos.
