Addleshaws launch social enterprise offering

LAW firm Addleshaw Goddard has launched a dedicated Social Enterprise team to support the growth of this new business model in public sector reform.
The new unit has been launched today as it is Social Enterprise Day.
The gvernment’s Service Reform agenda has changed the delivery landscape for public services, and the firm’s Manchester-based Social Enterprise team is offering private, public or third sector organisations strategic advice relating to all aspects of public service reform.
The 12-strong team is made up of specialists from all areas of the firm, including charities, corporate, employment, financial services, local and central Government, pensions and real estate.
Paul Conroy, head of social enterprise, said: “Social Enterprise is a broad and varied term that touches all business sectors. As a firm we have been working with a range of local authorities, NHS Trusts and other public sector organisations to support procurement, infrastructure and funding arrangements for some time.
“The current austerity measures have increased the momentum and brought public service reform to the forefront. We have therefore formalised our team of experts – bringing together key specialisms and experience – to provide organisations, individuals and groups with a dedicated team that is well placed to help them to transform the provision of local services.”
