JMW seals healthcare double

A TEAM of lawyers at Manchester firm JMW acted on a double deal for care homes operator Central England Healthcare.

The Nottingham-based firm has acquired The Old Vicarage in Stoke-on-Trent from its owners and the Eversleigh Nursing Home in Wolverhampton out of administration.

The Old Vicarage provides nursing care to 45 elderly people and is ‘Excellent’ rated by Care Quality Commission.

The Eversleigh deal is Central England’s largest acquisition to date. The facility cares for 84 people.

Corporate partner Scott Sands and solicitor Vicky Protano advised on the Old Vicarage deal, head of corporate restructuring Richard Wolff acted on the Eversleigh acquisition and corporate partner Chris King advised Central England Healthcare on its refinancing  and on funding the deals.

Mr Sands said “It’s pleasing to see a company that can see real opportunities for growth even when the economic climate is still somewhat uncertain.”
