Kwik Fit man takes helm at Enterprise

ENTERPRISE, the infrastructure contractor, has named Kwik Fit boss Ian Fraser as its new chief executive.

The Lancashire-based group, majority owned by 3i, has been without a chief executive since Neil Kirkby departed suddenly and without explanation in March.

The new man at the helm of the Leyland-based group has left Kwik Fit after leading it for six years. Prior to this he was chief operating officer at Orange UK.

His professional career started with Deloitte in Glasgow and Paris and he subsequently held senior executive roles in financial services, internet, food and non-food retailing and oil services sectors.

Fraser is a graduate of the University of Glasgow, a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Scotland and is a Fellow of the Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufacturers and Commerce. He is also a Non-Executive Director of Punch Taverns plc.

Enterprise chairman Alan Peterson, said: “Ian’s broad background and experience will greatly support the Group’s continued strategic development. I am sure that he will make a significant contribution to Enterprise and I look forward to working closely with him”.

As well as construction and engineering support work, Enterprise has a long-term waste collection contract with Manchester City Council.
