SurgiCare buys rival PSP

SURGICARE,the Manchester-based cosmetics surgery company, has bought private Harley Street-based practice Plastic Surgery Parnters, for a seven figure sum.
The exact value of the deal has not been disclosed but SurgiCare said it will increase company turnover by a third.
The acquisition will see PSP’s founders, Dai Davies FRCS and Nick Percival FRCS, join the SurgiCare team.
SurgiCare said it will give consumers immediate access to the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS) registered surgeons, an alignment it said would boost the company’s medical credentials.
Mark Bury, chief executive of SurgiCare, said: “SurgiCare is defining a new code of practice, which is moulding the future of the cosmetic surgery industry.”
He added: “This is a unique move in that it is the first time BAAPS registered consultants have agreed to partner with a commercial cosmetic surgery provider, thus making the merger a significant breakthrough, not only for us, but for the industry as a whole.
“Nick and Dai’s decision to join SurgiCare is an incredible credit to the business. We are eager to drive forward this revolutionary approach to cosmetic surgery in the UK and continue SurgiCare’s passion for delivering the very best for its patients.”
