Fertility firm raises funds for growth

WARRINGTON-based fertility research company Reproductive Sciences has raised £600,000 through a rights issue.
The funds will provide Reproductive Sciences with additional working capital to complete extensive clinical trials and take advantage of further opportunities for growth.
The company, formed in 2007, develops medical devices to improve the success rate of fertility treatments. Its products include a slow-release insemination pump called the EVIE, which significantly increases pregnancy success rates compared with those of the standard intrauterine insemination technique.
RSL was advised on the rights issue by Jeremy Orrell, Lorna Bennett and Jamie Cooper from SAS Daniels’ corporate team.
Jeremy Orrell, partner at SAS Daniels, said: “The new working capital will give the business the final boost required to bring ground breaking products to the market worldwide.”
