Plant Impact secures distribution deal

ORGANIC fertiliser group Plant Impact has signed a distribution deal with a life sciences firm based in Mexico.

Under the terms of the 10-year agreement Arysta LifeScience Mexico will have exclusive distribution rights for sales and marketing of InCa, a Plant Impact product that helps plants absorb calcium.

The Preston-based business says InCa, which is applied as a spray or through drip irrigation systems, can improve plant growth and contribute to more abundant crops.

The deal will see the product sold in Mexico, Guatemala, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Honduras, Dominican Republic, Panama, Belize and parts of the Caribbean. Plant Impact said it has received the first order for shipment in September.

Plant Impact is also negotiating distribution agreements with Arysta LifeScience subsidiaries in Czech Republic and Romania.

Peter Blezard, CEO of Plant Impact, commented: “Plant Impact continues to demonstrate commercial development with key partners like Arysta LifeScience. The relationship between the two companies is strong, with joint teams working on BugOil development, crop nutrient field trial development and commercialisation.”
