India trade summit returns to Manchester

THE UK India Business Council (UKIBC) is to return to Manchester to hold its Annual Networking Summit on March 14 next year.
The council said that it expects more than 500 delegates to attend the event, which it said will help UK companies to enter and expand into one of the largest and fastest-growing economies in the world.
Average Indian incomes are estimated to grow by 27 times in the next four decades. For UK businesses, this represents an ever expanding consumer market. In contrast, Chinese per capita income will grow 15 times over the same period. Average income in Europe will barely double over the same time frame.
Richard Heald, CEO of UKIBC said, “This is a market hungry for new products, services, technology and know-how. It is also a market which is rapidly developing its own world class products and services; which are born of innovation, passion and resourcefulness.
“The UKIBC Networking Summit will have all the right people under the same roof, enabling UK businesses to make the right judgments on engaging with the Indian market.”
The event will also host inbound delegations from Indian firms and opportunities to speak with seasoned market veterans.
