SKIPTON Business Finance has supported its expansion into the North West with two new hires.

The independent factoring and invoice discounting provider – subsidiary of Skipton Building Society – has appointed Peter Heyes, formerly of GE, as relationship manager.

Stephen Russell, also from GE, has been hired as an auditor and surveyor covering the North West.

The company, which announced record profits and a growing client base earlier this year, said it plans to continue recruiting in the area following its successful roll out.

Ray Wise, regional director, said: “SBF continues to expand in the North West and these recruitments leave us well placed to service both our clients and introducers in this region.

“SBF had an extremely successful track record of helping local businesses raise finance in the first half of 2010 and our commitment to expand in the area will leave us well placed to service both our clients and introducers in this region.”

He added: “SBF is all about having quick access to flexible funding, employing specialist staff and having localised functions under one roof which enables even closer relationships with our clients and business partners in the region.

From its offices in Deansgate, SBF offers a range of working capital solutions for businesses with annual sales ranging from new-start to £30m.
