I-paye intends to double in size with Scottish expansion

ONE of the UK’s fastest growing companies based in Merseyside – which has seen its turnover rocket from £3.4m to £68m over the past four years – has launched in Scotland.

I-paye works with contractors, freelancers and self-employed professionals helping them with their payroll and a range of other financial requirements.

The company now intends to continue its growth by launching two new office in Glasgow and Aberdeen as it looks to double in size over the next two years.

The offices will be run by Gordon Webb, who has extensive experience working within a number of key Scottish sectors including oil and gas, engineering and IT.

He said: “I-paye plans to more than double the size of the business over the next three years and our launch in Scotland forms an important part of that development.

“While umbrella service providers are much used by contractors in the UK, we will be the first dedicated umbrella services provider to have an operation in Scotland.”

I-paye provides contractors with products to suit everyone from a contractor with limited or no expenses through to those working away from home for long periods with more complicated tax affairs.

Gaynor McGrail, co-founder and managing director of I-paye, said: “The past four years have involved some extremely hard work and investment in our systems, but we don’t intend to stop here.

“We are aiming to double the size of the business over the next three years, which should be possible thanks to being well positioned with an extensive agency customer base and a range of products tailored to meet the exact needs of contractors, freelancers and self-employed professionals.”
