Ryanair adds two Spanish routes from JLA

BUDGET airline Ryanair is adding two new destinations from Liverpool John Lennon Airport to its summer schedules.

The Irish airline, which has also been expanding in Manchester in recent months, will operate services to Barcelona and Almeria in Spain.

Flights begin on March 25 and are already for sale;e with fares starting at £29.99 one way. The new service takes the total number of destinations served by Ryanair to 40 from what continues to be their second largest UK base.

This is the first time that these destinations have been served by Ryanair. Barcelona is expected to be a popular city break destination, while the coastal resort of Almeria and its surrounding areas in Andalucía, is a popular holiday area.

Robin Tudor, spokesman for Peel Airports, owner of Liverpool John Lennon Airport, said: “These are two great new destinations that will further complement Ryanair’s comprehensive list of routes from Liverpool.

“This remains their second largest UK base, with 40 destinations available from here and we expect these two new routes to prove popular with passengers across the region.”

Ryanair’s Maria Macken added, “Our new routes from Liverpool will start from 25 March and operate throughout the summer giving passengers in the North West even more choice when booking their summer getaway.”
