Law firm sets up in Ashton

A NEW legal practice, specialising in commercial, family, employment and personal injury law, has opened in Ashton-under-Lyne.

Mark Ryan, 41, has invested £25,000 in redeveloping derelict premises on Shaw Street to set up Mark L Ryan Solicitors.

Mr Ryan qualified as a solicitor in 1993 and worked his way through the ranks at Harold Stock & Co in Mossley, ultimately becoming senior partner in 2007.

He said: “I always enjoyed meeting and chatting with clients, understanding their issues and offering a personal legal service. 

“Unfortunately, as senior partner at my previous firm, this contact became less and less as my role was focused on managing and developing the business.  I really missed the client contact so am delighted I’ve now got the opportunity to work with local people once again.”
