Liverpool FC launches Egyptian academy

LIVERPOOL FC has launched a new football academy soccer school in Egypt.
The academy, which is a partnership with local firm Masters Sports, was opened in Cairo by Liverpool legend Ian Rush last week.
Over the past two years, Liverpool FC and its international partners have opened nine international academies in Ireland, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Greece, Cyprus, Indonesia, USA and St. Vincent in the Caribbean.
Managing director Ian Ayre said: “Our international football academies connect fans around the world and provide young people with an opportunity to be trained by qualified coaches at an official Liverpool Football Club academy.
“All of our academies follow the operating model of our own academy here in Liverpool and we are excited about this latest edition in Egypt as it will also bring children together in local communities through football events and camps.”
Mohamed Hassan, managing director of Master Sports, said: “It’s a great pleasure to partner Liverpool Football Club’s academy in Egypt to educate footballers to play the right way. We will never walk alone after this engagement with such a great club.”
