Roundhouse secures planning for retail scheme
ROUNDHOUSE Properties has secured planning approval for a 72,000 sq ft non-food retail site in Preston.
The retail scheme will be housed near to its existing office South Preston Office Village and South Rings office Village schemes at Bamber Bridge.
Joint letting agent CBRE has said the site is the only new retail park currently in the pipeline for the North West this year. It will be developed on a 3.68-acre brownfields industrial site and could support up to 230 full-time jobs. Work on the site is set to begin in the second half of 2012.
Nick Kos, of Bailey, Deakin & Hamilton, which acquired the site on behalf of Roundhouse Properties said: “This is fantastic news and we can now look to present the retail development to interested parties.
“The location is a very popular area for businesses and with the expansion of Sainsbury’s, this proposed development will add to the retail and leisure offer.”
CBRE are joint letting agents on the site with Hynes & Co.
