Cobbetts launches HR consultancy
LAW firm Cobbetts has teamed up with a group of human resources experts to launch a new volume service providing employment law and HR advice to subscribers.
The new business will be known as OneKnowledge.
It will offer dispute resolution (including handling investigations and mediation), training and restructuring advice, as well as handling high-level recruitment by non-executive directors.
A spokesman for the firm said that OneKnowledge’s offer was a “highly specialist” service which did not operate along the same model as Peninsula, Citation and others that provide SMEs with HR advice via a subscription service.
The members of the new business include Cobbetts’ head of employment law Ashley Norman, partner Kevin Jaquiss and Su Makin, who was previously Cobbetts head of HR but will now head the OneKnowledge business.
OneKnowledge will also feature former Greater Manchester Police personnel director Andrew Marston, ex-Tower Hamlets local authority director Deb Clarke, reorganisation expert Cllr Alan McKie, HR consultant Catherine Gasparini and qualified mediator Bryani Cuthbertson.
Su Makin said: “OneKnowledge is a unique service that will provide private, public and third sector clients with a high level of legal protection when undertaking complex HR processes within their organisations.”
