advised turnaround firm Begbies Traynor on the sale of the remaining parts of Principle Leisure (North East) Limited to Popolo Leisure Limited.
 
North East-based bars operator Principle Leisure went into adminisatration in April 2011, and since then the business has been operated by Begbies Traynor under licence until agreements could be reached with the multiple landlords to allow the deal to complete at the beginning of this month.#
 
Partner Chris Jones said: “Following such a complex and lengthy transaction, it is extremely pleasing to complete the sale and safeguard the future of 300 jobs.”
 
Principle Leisure (North East) Limited comprises the following bars and restaurants: Popolo Newcastle; Popolo Sheffield; San Lorenzo Gosforth; San Lorenzo Cramlington; and Establishment Sunderland.
