Preferred toasts £1m month

OFFICE fit-out company Preferred Spaces is toasting a bumper February after winning more than £1m worth of contracts.
Building on success in the sporting sector, it will be designing and completing a new hospitality box for upmarket retailer Harvey Nichols at Manchester City’s Etihad Stadium.
In the Midlands it has netted a contract to fit out the new megastore for Wolverhampton Wanderers FC which is part of the new stand development at Molyneux, and the Sale-based company will also be refurbishing the club’s Dudley Street store.
Preferred has also landed £300,000 of new furniture contracts with Crewe-based 20;20 Mobile, Locktons UK Birmingham office and stockbrokers Brewin Dolphin.
Managing director Jeremey Plastow said the company, formerly known as Preferred Office Environments, has a further £1.5m of orders pending over the next two months.
He said he expects this year’s turnover to be up 40%, adding: “We are really benefiting from rebranding our business to Preferred Spaces last year and in particular the retail side of our business is positively booming.
“Even though the market conditions still remain tough our investment in quality people and our proven track record in delivering quality products at the right price is the key to our success.”
