In brief: Consilia in Asian JV; Certero

INVESTMENT and turnaround firm Consilia Partners has broadened its geographical reach with a Far East joint venture.

Manchester-based Consilia has agreed a partnership with Hong Kong business transformation and turnaround consultancy Turnaround Asia.

Chief executive David Axon, said: “With a pool of talented resources available throughout Europe, Middle East and Asia, we are now able to deploy more rapidly on behalf of our clients throughout the world, giving both of us the competitive advantage of time.”

Rupert Purser, director of TAA added: “Consilia’s expertise coupled with TAA’s local knowledge and skills built up over many years will allow us to deliver a unique business transformation and turnaround offering to our clients in the banking and private equity sectors.

“We were particularly attracted to Consilia’s ability to co-invest alongside major shareholders to deliver a truly aligned turnaround for the business and its shareholders”.

WARRINGTON IT solutions firm Certero has opeded an office in Sydney Australia.

Certero helps firms and organisations cut costs by simplifying IT software licences and reducing power consumption of office IT equipment.

Managing director John Lunt said: “The new Australian venture is already proving a great success and we are now starting to secure significant business in the Asian market. Our next goal is to expand in America.”

The company has been supported in its overseas expansion by North West accountants Mitchell Charlesworth.
