Storage firm wins central library job

NEWCASTLE-under-Lyme storage manufacturer Rackline has won a £550,000 contract to work on Manchester City Council’s Town Hall Complex transformation scheme.
Rackline’s main project will be installing specialist storage in Manchester Central Library but it will also be working on the refurbishment of the Town Hall extension.
Sean Donovan, sales manager at Rackline, said: “We will be installing archive and library storage using Rackline’s innovative electronic mobile system and Proform Shelving solutions. These products have been designed to provide total protection of the contents and can move heavy loads of up to 15 tonnes with ease, so they are ideal for use in the library.
“The overall project will help to modernise the service Manchester City Council provides by transforming areas within the interior of the buildings.”
Rackline will begin the initial stages of the installation in May and is scheduled to complete the project in early 2013.
