Deadline approaches for Northern Tech Awards
THE Northern Tech Awards 2012 has confirmed its judging panel and extended its deadline for entries until Friday March 16.
The awards panel includes Chris Allen, co-founder and ex-chief executive of Laterooms; Jon Bradford, chief executive of Springboard and Ignite 100; and David Atherton, founder and ex-chief executive of Dabs.com.
Together the judges will recognise the achievements of leading technology entrepreneurs in the North of England at a Gala Dinner and award ceremony to be held at the Lowry Hotel, Manchester on March 29, 2012.
Organised by Manchester-based technology networking group Techcelerate, the awards are now in their second year. This year three new categories have been added: Most Innovative Tech Company, Fastest Growing Tech Company and Best Tech Deal.
Manoj Ranaweera, founder and chief executive of Techcelerate, said: “The Northern Tech Awards were a huge success last year and we’re hoping for even bigger and better things this year.
“The awards aim to acknowledge the difficult challenges faced by many new tech companies and celebrate their perseverance not after they have achieved success, but during their uphill journey.”
