Administrators sell two Manchester hotels

ADMINISTRATORS have sold a pair of Greater Manchester hotels as going concerns, saving dozens of jobs.
Zolfo Cooper was appointed as administrators of both the Altrincham Lodge Hotel in West Timperley on February 9 and to Broadfield Park Hotel in Rochdale on March 9.
The hotels were previously owned by investor Paul Hindley, but have been sold by joint administrators Scott Gaillie, Simon Wilson and Anne O’Keeffe.
The 48-bed Altrincham Lodge had been put on the market with Christie + Co back in January priced at £650,000 and has been sold to Hartlepool-based Metro Inns for an undisclosed sum. Contracts have also been exchanged for the 29-room Best Western-branded Broadfield Park Hotel with a private investor.
A spokeswoman for the administrator said that the jobs of all of the existing hotel staff have been retained.
