The Rock offers taste of Hollywood

A NEW Hollywood-themed diner restauarant has opened at The Rock, Bury.
The Hollywood Bites restairant is a new venture from managing director Lee Newsome, who says the 1,021 sq ft unit features original props from films such as Forrest Gump and X-Files. It also offers food such as hot dogs and burgers on American sourdough buns.
Hollywood Bites opened last weekend and joins a number of existing restaurant chans at The Rock, such as Pizza Express, Nando’s and Frankie & Benny’s.
Mr Newsome said: “The concept came to me around 18 months ago, but I knew that finding the right location was key to success. When the site at The Rock, Bury became available, I knew it was the perfect positioning for us.
“I was a chef for 15 years, and have been passionate about movies for as long as I can remember, so the decision to tie the two together evolved naturally. I have acquired some amazing original movie props over the years that will make this diner a unique experience for customers.”
The Rock opened to the public around 18 months ago. It is owned by Hammerson.
Centre director at Arnold Wilcox-Wood said: ““We are always looking to provide our visitors with an experience to remember, and dining at Hollywood Bites is certainly that.”
