Appointments: Lynch joins GT from in-house role; Boohoo & more

GRANT Thornton has appointed Calum Lynch as a director in its business risk services team in the North.

Mr Lynch from Bolton joins the firm from listed Manchester-based home shopping giant N Brown, where he spent three years as group head of risk and audit.

His career includes seven years with KPMG where he specialised in internal audit outsourcing and effectiveness reviews.  He has also worked within the internal audit teams at AXA Insurance and The Amulet Group.

He said: ““Within the internal audit space, Grant Thornton is one of the few firms that can offer a team of qualified, senior advisers who specialise purely in providing internal audit services.

“I am looking forward to further developing opportunities for Grant Thornton in the private sector by working with businesses to find pragmatic, bespoke solutions to the challenges facing them.”

Ian Falconer, partner and head of Grant Thornton’s northern business risk services team added: “Calum has an impressive track record and will be a valuable asset to the team, helping us to provide corporate clients with comprehensive, strategic advice.”
