Appointments: Harrison Drury; RSM Tenon; Winterhill Largo; Cheviot

LANCASHIRE  law firm Harrison Drury has appointed experienced family lawyer Damian Baron as a partner.

He will head up the family law team at Harrison Drury’s Preston office after joining from Napthens Solicitors. He is a specialist in divorce cases involving business owners and high-net-worth individuals.

John Chesworth, managing partner at Harrison Drury, said: “Damian is an enormously respected family lawyer with significant experience in advising those with substantial personal wealth and business assets. His appointment will allow us to further improve our professional and discreet family law service.”

Harrison Drury has moved from Fleet Street, Preston, to larger premises on the corner of Chapel Street and Winckley Square. The firm also has an office in Garstang.

THREE North West based accountants at RSM Tenon are among a dozen promotions announced by the firm.

Andrew Barnes, a member of the audit, tax & advisory team at the Chorley office and John Humphreys, from risk management forensics In Manchester have become directors, while Patrick King, from the financial management team in Chorley has become an associate director.

MARISA Kapp has joined asset recovery and insolvency support group Winterhill Largo to lead its credit control team.

She joins Blackburn-based Winterhill Largo with 13 years’ experience in credit management, eight of which were spent working for KPMG’s receivables realisation group and three running her own Yorkshire-based credit management company.
 
She said: “With my extensive background in credit management I can help Winterhill Largo offer the very best range of credit control services to our clients. It’s tough out there and we know many businesses are really struggling with the growing problem of bad debts. It’s good to know that we can help by taking the problem of constantly chasing debts away from them.”

CHEVIOT Asset Management has grown its Liverpool team with the appointment of  business development manager Paul Atkinson.

Mr Atkinson joins from AXA Insurance, where he was a senior broker consultant. In his new role he willsupport Cheviot’s relationships with the IFA community in the North West.
