Expansion on the menu at Viva Brazil

VIVA Brazil, the North West restaurant business, is planning to open in Cardiff and Newcastle.

The brand, led by leisure entrepreneur Andy Aldrich, already has two sites in Liverpool and Glasgow, says the Welsh capital will be its next opening, with Cardiff potentially opening this summer.

Sites under consideration in Cardiff, which will be 160 covers, include a 4,500 sq ft ground floor unit near the Millennium Stadium city’s restaurant and bar district.

In Newcastle, it is looking at sites near the Big Market and Grey Street, with a view to opening a 200-cover eatery.

Mr Aldrich said: “Viva Liverpool has been a massive success since we opened 18 months ago and Glasgow, which launched last year, is now following in this success.

“The concept has gone down extremely well in both cities and this is now something which we would like to take to other areas of the country. Neither Newcastle nor Cardiff have anything like what we have to offer and that is the reason we have chosen to invest in these areas.

“These are also both amazing cities and cities which are forward-thinking – this is something which we want to be a part of. “
The Viva Brazil menu is inspired by authentic Brazil with more than 15 select cuts of beef, lamb, pork and chicken on offer, all of which diners can see slow cooked over a charcoal barbeque.
