Appointments: Griffiths joins HSBC; Charterfields

HSBC Commercial Banking has appointed Rikki Griffiths as area commercial director for Liverpool City Region.

He joins from Barclayse, and will head theHSBC team supporting  businesses with a turnover of typically between £2m and £30m.

With more than 30 years’ experience in corporate and commercial banking, he has extensive experience of working with businesses in Merseyside.

He said: “I’m hugely excited to be joining HSBC at a time when so many UK businesses are looking to expand into overseas markets. I have an experienced team alongside me and, working for a bank with strong international capabilities and products.”

ASSET consultants Charterfields has appointed Paul McCann to its Manchester office.

Mr McCann, who joins from Edward Symmons, has over 35 years experience in valuing plant, machinery and business assets. He is the fourth appointment in the past six months at the Manchester office.

Drector Ian Maycock said: “Paul has extensive experience and will further strengthen our skill base. His appointment increases our Manchester presence and comes just a few months after we extended our insolvency valuation team and launched a property agency service. It means we can now provide the complete range of valuation services to our increasing regional client base.”
