JLL expands Liverpool office

JONES Lang LaSalle has taken an extra 1,582 sq ft of space at its Liverpool city centre office at 42 Castle Street.

The firm, which merged with King Sturge in June 2011, has had a presence in the city since 1998 and now occupies a total of 3,205 sq ft.

Chris Prescott, who heads the firm’s Liverpool office, said: “We are delighted to be expanding in Liverpool which reaffirms of our long term commitment to the city.”

Helen Moss, head of the agency team in Liverpool, said: “Despite market conditions, increasing the size of our office space is a reflection of the team’s ongoing success.

“Whilst the commercial market is still challenging, we are seeing increased levels of activity. In the office market there are a number of sizeable requirements and enquiries are creeping back up to pre-2008 levels.

“Equally, the industrial market has seen the big box new-build and good quality stock virtually erode and we expect to see build-to-suit solutions on the well located, developer controlled sites across Merseyside that are geared up to deliver buildings efficiently and quickly.”

Jones Lang LaSalle has a team of 15 commercial and residential property staff in Liverpool providing a range of services including commercial agency, development, building and public sector consultancy, commercial and residential valuation and project management.

Martyn Green, head of Jones Lang LaSalle’s residential team in Liverpool, continued: “Taking this additional space will allow both the residential and commercial businesses to expand further as the market strengthens. The much needed space will assist with our recent launch of West Tower, and several other exciting residential schemes in Liverpool.”
