Appointments: New FD for Sellick; George Davies & more

HEADHUNTERS Sellick Partnership has appointed Nives Feely as finance director.
She joins the North West finance and legal recruitment specialist from Sale-based
JAM Recruitment, where she was financial controller.
Nives will be taking over the role from commercial director, Peter Tootell, who is due to move into the position of chairman of Sellick Partnership Group in July 2012.
Managing director, Jo Sellick comments, “Nives has vast experience within the recruitment sector, bringing a wealth of knowledge and a new dimension to our finance team.
“She will be a major asset to the leadership team, where she will add tremendous value through her previous experience of setting up best practice management information and heading up key projects, as well as playing a important part in assisting the growth of the business.”

LAW firm George Davies is branching out into the healthcare regulatory sector with the appointment of Andrea James from the General Medical Council in Manchester.
The 32-year-old joins the Manchester firm as an associate. Her role will be to enhance the firm’s offering in the healthcare sector by providing support and assistance to clients on regulatory matters and revalidation – a new process being introduced for all doctors at the end of this year.
Senior partner, Anne Fairhurst, who heads the healthcare team at George Davies said: “The government’s confirmation that revalidation for doctors will be introduced at the end of this year confirmed to us that this was an obvious area for us to expand into. Andrea is the perfect recruit to lead this expansion with her experience on both sides of healthcare regulation.”

CUMBRIAN accountancy firm Armstrong Watson has appointed Andrew Kilby as managing director of its financial planning and wealth aanagement arm.
He takes over from Paul Dickson, who will now focus on his group-wide role of managing partner at the Carlisle-based group.
Mr Kilby has worked in financial services and banking for the past 21 years in both client-facing and managerial roles and joined Armstrong Watson in 2009 as financial planning director.
