Bullish Bloxham says ‘Go for it’
THERE has never been a better time to set up a business despite the uncertain economic climate, Urban Splash co- founder Tom Bloxham has said.
Mr Bloxham, who has grown his Manchester property development company into one of the most successful in the country, said “big ideas” were vital for those looking to start their own ventures.
Addressing delegates at business event in Yorkshire Mr Bloxham said: “Now is a great time to set up in business; there are always opportunities however I believe it’s vital that businesspeople have a big idea, a big vision plus great attention to detail – look after everything.
“And of course work hard – perseverance is critical regardless of any setbacks.”
Commenting on the Urban Splash’s outlook on urban regeneration, Mr Bloxham said: “Years ago people were pulling down Victorian villas and demolishing Victorian mills – we believe in celebrating and conserving this heritage, putting right the wrongs, preserving the good and bringing them up to date.”
Urban Splash has schemes in Sheffield, Liverpool, Birmingham, Bradford, Bristol and Plymouth as well as its Manchester heartland.
