Paver’s London lifestyle focus

NORTH West PR agency Paver Smith is wooing the hunting, shooting and fishing fraternity with a London-based joint venture.
Called Zambuni Paver, the new business is led by Paver Smith senior partner Dougal Paver and country sports enthusiast Claire Zambuni, who writes for ‘Shooting Gazette and runs the Covert Girls shooting club.
Mr Paver, a keen fisherman and shooting enthusiast, will work alongside Miss Zambuni at offices near Piccadilly in central London.
He said: “This is a huge sector with a large number of high-end brands interested in reaching those who enjoy the country lifestyle, but there isn’t a single agency in London that specifically serves them.
” Claire and I have a genuine empathy with the whole sector which will translate in to much more effective advice for clients.”
Miss Zambuni already provides consultancy support to brands such as Barbour and Jeep and the new firm is targeting luxury resorts, gun makers, car manufacturers, fashion houses and accessories, among others.
She said: “As a brand ambassador for luxury goods like Holland & Holland and Barbour it was clear that the sector needed very specialised support which traditional agencies didn’t provide.
“Paver Smith’s active engagement in shooting, fishing, mountain climbing and horse racing, as much as their scale and resources, made them the perfect partner for the venture.”
The agency has already recruited its first member of staff, Rowena Macrae, herself an avid fly fisher and game shooter.
Mr Paver, who is devoting three or four days a week to the London ventrue, says he has no plans to relocate his family south.
“I’ll combine it with PS work and am spending between three and four days a week in London now. There’s no way I’ll be moving the family there – the quality of life in the North West is too good.”
