Luxury developer thinks small

ALTIN Homes has announced plans to expand its high-end residential property business by acquiring five new sites in Cheshire on which it plans to build 37 new properties.
The Hale Barnes-based business, which is run by managing director Mohammad Khoy, has said that it will build “more modestly-proportioned” homes on the planned sites, which will be marketed under the name Altin Bijou.
The sites include a half-acre plot in Altrincham where it is planning 14 units, a former pub in Timperley where it is planning seven houses and a one-acre site in Whitefield where it has planning for 14 homes.
It has also acquired two sites in Hale for single dwellings of 2,000 sq ft and around 3,000 sq ft respectively.
Mr Khoy said: “The new sites form part of our strategic plans for growth which will see us expanding the business into a new sector of the property market.
“Our ‘bijou’ properties will include many features seen in our larger properties – high end bathroom fittings, luxury kitchens, provision for intelligent lighting and audio/visual systems and energy saving features, albeit on a much smaller scale and at a lower price point.”
The firm said that it would continue to build large-scale properties, but mainly on a bespoke basis. It is currently developing an 8,000 sq ft property near Chelford and a 6,500 sq ft house in Hale. The Bijou sites will be brought to market later this year.
